Rendered in a refined, muted palette of sage, stone and cream, this Mughal-inspired scene depicts a ceremonial elephant procession moving through a grand architectural landscape. Figures in cobalt blue accompany the richly caparisoned elephant, its gilded howdah sheltering seated passengers beneath a canopied pavilion, while a white horse and attendants lead the way past domed structures and ancient trees.
